Africa Bible Commentary Progress

Written by Joel Purcell

The Portuguese version of the Africa Bible Commentary has now been printed.  Angola, Mozambique and Guinea Bissau are the 3 countries in Africa that speak Portuguese.  Pray that many pastors in these countries will be blessed, educated and helped by this commentary.  Also, please pray for the practical detail in the planning of the distribution of this work in these countries.

Latin America Bible Commentary Update

Written by Joel Purcell

We ask for your prayers to cover the 100 scholars who are dedicating time and efforts to write the Latin American Bible Commentary.  Pray that they will write with clarity and inspiration in order to make the Word of God more relatable to the Latin American culture.

Latin America Bible Commentary Support

Written by Joel Purcell

This project is a joint venture with SIM and Langham Literature with each seeking 50% of the total funding.  In June, I was told the amount SIM would be responsible for during the year.  I received word in July that a foundation had decided to underwrite the budget for the entire year!  Praise the Lord for His provision.

Please continue to pray for the editors and writers of this huge effort.  Pray that every writer will be accurate to the Scriptures and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Africa Bible Commentary News

Written by Joel Purcell

Great News!  The Portuguese ABC is ready to go to print.  The first print run needs to be at least 10,000 for the lowest possible price.  Pray for wisdom in setting the appropriate number for printing.

Also, we praise the Lord that some support has been received towards some of the smaller translations such as Malagassy.  This is the language spoken in Madagascar.
